I bought a pair of 844 legend work boots not even a year ago and the soles are already coming off.I work construction and i need a boot that is comfortable and durable.The boots are great but for 200 dollars they should last longer than a year.I’m not happy with the outcome of the boots and it will be the last pair i purchase.
I can’t see how I blame you. I have worked in construction in one from or another most of my life, whether it be building boats in a coastal shipyard or building forms for concrete and even driving pile for bridgework. The hardest things on boots I think is the rebar and the welding sparks.
I have tried quite a few different boots out there. Some of the cheaper ones from the local store would only last me a couple of months and kill my feet and the more expensive redwings and such would give me a year if I was lucky.
Your best bet in my opinion is to bite the bullet , suck it up and go out and spend 300 dollars on a pair of whites. These are the only boots that I have ever seen last more that a couple of years. Unfortunately it seems every other boot company has caved into the garbage making industry in order to keep you coming back every 6 months or less.

That’s a great selection of work boots of all makes. I think when it comes to buying boots to last, it pays to go for quality over price. Buying cheap is often false economy because in time you’ll pay more by having to replace them more often.
